Laser Hair Removal, Is it good for the environment?
Laser Hair Removal is a wonderful thing! Not only is it terribly convenient but it is a great help to the environment. I completed my Laser Hair removal treatments more than nine years ago. My shower time has become shorter since I no longer need half an hour to shave my legs, thighs, bikini line, underarms, arms and other unmentionables, I don't want to embarrass my self! My showers now take about 10 minutes. The waste water going down my drain is much less than it used to be. This is something that has become extremely evident lately. I have a teenage daughter who now takes 30 minute showers. I catch myself sounding way too much like my mother. "get out of the shower!" "How long does it take to wash your skinny little body?" "What are you doing in there?" Then it dawned on me, how soon we forget... Half an hour shaving! Oh yeah I remember the good ole' days!
Recently I was caught arguing with my teenager about how great Laser Hair removal is. I was in the razor aisle at Target. I did not want to buy razors, they are very expensive. I do not want to waste gallons and gallons of water and I know how much time, money and resources I have saved over the last 9 years not having to shave. I can't stand the idea of my daughter shaving for her whole life. She is not quite ready to have laser Hair removal but I certainly am ready for her to get her hair permanently removed! It is absolutely a great way to conserve our planets resources. The shaving gels and soaps that wash into the environment are terrible pollutants that contain many ingredients detrimental to the earth's ecosystem.
